Abstract

In this paper/presentation applicability, difficulties, advantages and disadvantages of applying flipped classroom concept is discussed. The author has taught final year students of the electrical engineering stream. The concept is not applied for first year or second year student because it was considered that it will be very different for them and may be it will not work for them as efficiently. It is observed that during even semester (last semester) the flipped classroom worked and it helps the students to learn very fast with limited time duration, however during the odd semester (second last semester) it doesn’t worked as expected because during odd semester the number of classes are more as compared to even semester, and the students are also not so crazy to accept it. In conclusion flipped classroom is good pedagogical tool when time duration is limited, and a good reason can be given to students for change in teaching methodology.
