Abstract

An ever-increasing body of evidence suggests that human action are changing our global climate. The forcing factor behind these changes is our release of gases in particular carbon dioxide that trap heat and warm the atmosphere. This study by way of literature review and oral interview examines how Climate Change has affected our environment. It will also examine the legal framework available for regulating climate change and for preserve our environment. It will also show that a link exists between climate change and our Environment, that the uncontrolled impact of the changed climate on our Environment will amount to paying lip service to the intent and purpose of the notion of sustainable development. Finally it recommends among others that carbon dioxide which is by far the most important cause of climate change be reduced to a more tolerable level.
