Abstract

Studying in college is very hard and demands a lot of time, effort and focus. This level is where most individuals would look for potential partners and thus engage in romantic relationships. Having babies or children is another life-changing event which leads in individuals to change their behavior and activities. Without the support of family members and loved ones, a student who becomes a parent will definitely sacrifice one thing over the other. Since this event is happening to some students in ESSU–Guiuan, the researchers decided to conduct the study on this setting. The research design utilized was Qualitative and the Case study method was employed. This was done so that the situations of the respondents would be deeply understood. The respondents of the study included 10 students from the 4 colleges of the university. The findings of the study showed that students who are at the same time parents needed the support of their parents, loved ones in order to survive schooling. The research result recommends that students should focus first on their studies before engaging on such romantic acts to avoid the risk of dropping from school or not finishing college.
