Abstract

Examined public attitudes and perceptions about private security personnel by surveying 134 males and 75 females in Canada concerning the image, role, authority, and limits of private security activity. Public reaction to the growth of private security activity is discussed as well as rights of intrusion, use of force, and accountability of security organizations. This is the 2nd part of a 3-part series.
