Abstract

We examine geographic variation in aggregate health measures and correlate them with market level food purchasing indices. After controlling for various household characteristics, we find associations not unlike those detailed in the nutritional epidemiology literature. However, the modeling procedures are preliminary and are noisy in their correlation estimates.
