Abstract

The study is envisaged as a tool as it permits perspective building on the purview of legal aid provision as well as suggest directions for a change. It has aided to understand the current structure and necessary changes and roles that are mandated to be adopted. The study reveals many common and active trends – honorarium paid to Legal Aid Counsels at high courts, set criteria of income limit for incurring such legal aid services. The aim is to analyze such fixed data and expose necessary gaps in it, and to come up with essentials changes and recommendations that need to be adopted.
