Abstract

Singapore despite of its small land size is one of the top exporters of ornamental fishes. Food fish farming on the other hand is strategic for Singapore’s food security. In this context, Singapore is looking at multi-storey indoor facilities for fish farming, aiming to improve the productivity and to minimise footprint. The requirements of the design include modularity and scalability for deployment in typical industrial buildings. This article briefly describes a design of an infrastructure for urban fish farming.
