Abstract
English Abstract: This study presents a foray into the historical writing with regard to the history of Hungarian and Romanian Jews during the years 1945-1953. The Jews from Romania and Hungary were a united community in those years. Our point of view is that this community should not be analyzed only from the perspective of individual moral fault of some who, becoming communists, separated most often from Jewish community.
The specialized papers related to the topic which we analyze in this study offer us the opportunity to show several points of view regarding Romanian and Hungarian Jews during this period. I attempt to draw a picture of the historical writings in this field.
