Abstract
The paper examined the imperative of security constitution: Issues to consider in crime and punishment following the Biblical perspective. The paper hinged its postulations and averments on the Biblical principles and precepts with reference to security and safety. Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety (Leviticus 25:18 - KJV). Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14 - KJV). The paper is of the position that love, hope and faith are very soothing in the face of crisis. The real and only effective solution to defeat terror, violent crime, steal/theft and general lack of safety is for all of us to support our village/community leaders, security team and law enforcement agencies and take action by discovering our various inner strength and physical abilities and putting them to use in the struggle against the “evils” that try to terrorize our lives daily. In this regard, a very unique community based SECURITY arrangement guided by godly oriented CONSTITUTION that recommends carrot (reward) and stick (punishment) treatment without fear or favour has become unavoidable.
