Abstract

English Abstract: This paper seeks to demonstrate that the dynamics of economic emergence in Africa in general and Cameroon in particular can contribute to development in Cameroon by 2035. Such economic emergence is at the core of the improvement of the wellbeing of the population. This is because it brings about economic growth which in turns leads to an increase in revenue for the population, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Cameroon and the country itself sees through economic emergence its socio-economic and institutional structures moving ahead like those of developed countries. This demonstration stems from the analyses of the impact of endogenous variables such as long term economic growth rate. Empirical results show that economic emergence will not contribute enough to the wellbeing of the population by 2035 due to the chosen “big push” theoretical model, the absence of institutional governance and the pertinence of variables in a less motivated temporal horizon; otherwise said, a notorious laxity as per the rigor with regards to the envisaged model, of the capacity to coordinate all the structuring projects and to mobilize funds which may be volatile to interest rates in relation to foreign currency.
