Abstract

Increasing competition due to market globalization, product diversity and technological breakthroughs stimulates independent firms to collaborate in a supply chain that allows gaining the mutual benefits. The author’s intention in this paper is to review the literature related to SCI and to understand the relationship between integration and performance and also to identify the various elements of integration to develop a framework and a migration path for Organizational and Information Technology Integration. Developed frame work will help the industries to know the present level and provides the roadmap to move to next level of integration with the customers and suppliers for enhancing their performance.Case study was conducted in Auto-Industries to operationalize the developed SCI framework.Present paper will add onto the contribution of authors who have ventured study in the area of SCI.
