Abstract

Nowadays, the phenomenon of child freelancer is being happening in this state. Child freelancer is still being a problem which too complicated to be solved. The reason is that the majority of child freelancer assume that they do it because of inadequate economic factors so that they must being a freelancer to get the money. There are social factors that make children being a freelancer because being influenced by their community and also want to get extra money. On the other hand, it is being an opportunity for someone or the corporate that hires child freelancer. The children tempted to be a freelancer because of big salary, while the children have the right to learn, play, and growth. Nowadays, freelancers are increasingly sought after by children who need work, so some corporates employ underage children to work as freelancers. Freelancer’s jobs that are currently sought after by children are : Sales Promotion Girls/Boys, magazine models, or even become a DJ (Disk Jockey) in a cafe. The aim of this study to analyst criminal liability for corporate that employ underage children as freelancers in the entertainment industry and to find out legal protection for minors who work freelancers in the entertainment industry.
