Abstract
One of the primary reasons behind this difference is the small business structure and entrepreneurial ventures prevalent in Greece. Further, due to a strong patriarchal society with paternalist traditions, there are bound to be differences in how the people run businesses. To improve HR practices in Greece, industrial relations should be improved, base salary increased, and issues of leave resolved. It is important for HR managers in Greece to have better training in international HRM standards.
