Abstract

With increasing costs of energy consumption, there is growing demand for P2P energy sharing models by installation of distributed energy generation at the demand side. Installation of solar photovoltaic panels at Australian households are helping the cause in decentralizing the energy distribution systems. The P2P overlay structure that is utilized to ensure distribution of energy across Australia is similar to information sharing on the Internet. P2P in solar electricity trading utilizes a network of prosumers where each node of the distributed energy system is given equal responsibility
