Abstract

A simple, sensitive high performance liquid chromatographic method was validated for the estimation of Imatinib Mesylate in pure and in pharmaceutical dosage forms. A 4.6-mm X 150-cm column that contains packing L1 (C18) was used with a mobile phase containing a mixture of Buffer: Acetonitrile: Methanol (50:25:25). The flow rate was 1.1 ml/minute and effluent was monitored at 230 nm. A calibration curve was plotted with a range from 40-160 mg/ml for Imatinib Mesylate. The assay was validated for the parameters like specificity, Linearity, Range, precision, accuracy & robustness parameters. The proposed method can be useful in the routine analysis for the determination of Imatinib Mesylate in a pharmaceutical dosage form.
