Sustainability Bonds: A Mini-Review

Abstract
The aim of the current study was to investigate the role of sustainability bonds in balancing stakeholders’ value of the companies worldwide. For a successful accomplishment of the research aim, a systematic review methodology was undertaken. Based on 25 research articles selected from multiple databases such as SCOPUS, EBSCOHOST and SSRN, the study reported that sustainability bonds are useful for the business organizations in different countries increased their complicated advantage in front of the stakeholders. However, at present, the focus of the public and private investors is on the environmental dimensions set as the primary objective behind investigate the sustainability bonds. Despite, sustainability bonds are used by the business organizations for offering social impacts in different sectors such as early childhood education, affordable housing, education, food security and healthcare accessibility. The study suggests the need to enhance policy and standards to guide the business organizations towards the effective and beneficial use of sustainability reports for all the stakeholder groups respectively.
