Abstract

This paper examines the problems of resocialization and post-penal support for people, who have been sentenced to imprisonment, and offers the ways to improve the situation connected with recidivism in offenses. It contains a range of articles of the Criminal Executive Code of the Russian Federation and Federal laws of the Russian Federation and examples of realizing one of the goals of criminal penalty. The paper also provides foreign experience which can be implemented to increase the effectiveness of convicts’ upbringing and preventing recidivism.
