Abstract

Om-shape microstrip antennas allied with open circuit stubs in addition with drive in rectangular slots are proposed for dual polarized wideband besides multiband response. Thorough learning is obtainable highlighting changes within various resonant modes of Om-shape microstrip antenna due to addition of various stubs and slots. Embedded stubs and rectangular slots adjust frequency, in addition to impedance deviation at dissimilar resonant modes producing multiband and wideband response. Bandwidth of 1.2% - 1.5% is obtained at each band for multiband configuration however 5.3% of bandwidth is obtained in wideband design. As proposed design gives dual polarized response, hence can be used for polarization diversity applications is short distance private communication.
