The Relationship Between Time Spent Playing Mobile Games and Wellbeing

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between time spent playing mobile games and wellbeing to find the most appropriate approach to playing. The questionnaires from 5,000 people were analyzed. Results indicate that playing mobile games for two hours or less per day has a significantly positive impact on satisfaction with life. Furthermore, playing mobile games any number of hours per day had a significantly positive impact on the one of wellbeing indicator “relationship and gratitude.” If people played mobile games for more than two hours per day, however, their one of wellbeing "self-actualization and growth" would be significantly reduced. As a whole, these findings indicate that playing mobile games for about 1.5 hours or less per day has positive impact on people’s wellbeing.
