Abstract
Chlorpyrifos is an insecticide for treatments of crop, lawn, and ornamental plants and effective against a broad spectrum of insect pests. It persists in the soil for 60-120 days. It has minimal solubility in water, but readily soluble in most organic solvents. In the present study, we have isolated identified and characterized Chlorpyrifos degrading bacterial isolates. Further, the degradation of Chlorpyrifos was analyzed with different bioprocessing material.
