Abstract
Detroit has been nicknamed ghost town because of the urban blight caused by deindustrialization, depopulation, and abandoned buildings. There has been progress in blight removal from Detroit through Detroit Land Bank Authority, Detroit Home Mortgage Program, Nuisance Abatement Program Neighborhood Revitalization, Vacant Properties Defensive Architecture, Poverty Property Tax Exemptions, and most recent federal funding.
