Abstract

French Abstract: La COVID-19 amène une véritable crise dans le monde et dans le secteur culturel. L’industrie de l’humour ne fait pas exception. Dans le contexte d’une pandémie
mondiale, le Groupe de recherche sur l’industrie de l’humour (GRIH) de la Sprott School
of Business de l’Université Carleton propose certaines réflexions pour comprendre et
mieux rebondir par la suite. Cette note fait partie d’une série de notes de recherche du
GRIH sur l’après-COVID-19. La présente note de recherche présente certaines estimations du nombre de places dans les salles de spectacles en s’attardant à la mesure de distanciation physique dans le contexte de la pandémie du COVID-19. L’accent est mis ici sur la capacité des salles.

English Abstract: COVID-19 brings a crisis around the globe and in the cultural sector. Comedy industry is not an exception. In the context of the worldwide pandemic, The Groupe de recherche sur l’industrie de l’humour (GRIH) / Comedy Industry Research Group at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University proposes some reflections for a better understanding and to prepare the come back. This note is part of the collection of GRIH notes on post-COVID. The note presents some estimations on the number of seats in theaters considering the physical distancing in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Focus is on the theaters' capacity.
