Abstract

The application of scientific, systematic, and methodological knowledge of certain concepts or theories for the practical purpose which should fulfill the requirements of the industry or a common man can be referred to as Technology. Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) is a wide-spreading infectious disease affected by a coronavirus, initially found in December 2019 at Wuhan city of China. Today this pandemic is spread across the world without making a difference in caste, religion, or geographical location. Many countries including India observing complete lockdown to flatten and control the curve of coronavirus spread and thereby avoiding the diseased persons or the persons affecting by some other health problems like high Diabetes, Hypertension, Chronic kidney disease, or cardiovascular diseases. The main cause for the spread of COVID-19 disease is the respiratory droplets produced by the virus-infected person when he/she cough or sneeze. It is a human-to-human transmitting disease. So, its transmission can be contained by observing strict social distance and maintain a high degree of hygiene. It is less deadly than expected but more spreadable rapidly. Its influence will be more than severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in 2003. Many countries realized that the best way to tackle its widespread is though locking down the area, province, or the country itself. The shutdown of the economy, the business of large scale or small scale have heavily affected and low, low-middle, or middle-class people are finding difficulty to survive themselves. The pandemic has generated an unparalleled mandate for digital health technology solutions and has discovered successful solutions such as for population screening, tracking the contagion, highlighting the resource allocation, and designing targeted responses. This paper will provide an insight into technology adoption by different sectors to overcome the difficulties faced by the COVID-19 outbreak, how this pandemic indirectly forced technocrats to come up with innovations and inventions, what are the digital solutions provided to combat it, the technology proliferation in and post COVID-19 era and provide an ideal technological solution embodying all adaptive technologies to tackle COVID-19 or similar virus outbreaks in the future.
