Abstract

The law of naval warfare is enjoying a renaissance. Clearly articulating the rules of international law applicable to naval conflict is more relevant now than in living memory, with rising naval tensions in the South China Sea constantly in the news, and great power naval rivalries brewing in both the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
