Abstract
In this paper, we have discussed the single-channel radio over fiber system using single-mode Optical Fiber. In this article, we compared RZ, NRZ, and Gaussian pulse techniques. For performance analysis, we have used a 10 Gbps data rate and transmitted the ON-OFF signal using 60 GHz (V band) millimeter-wave over various optical lengths between 25 Km and 80 km. We successfully demonstrated that Gaussian pulse and NRZ provide better performance as compared to RZ for long-distance up to 80 km. RZ performs better for short-distance communication up to 50 km of a fiber link. The system performance is evaluated using the BER curve, Q factor, eye diagram, and output of the spectrum analyzer.
