Abstract

English Abstract: Transnationalization processes seem to evade democratic control, let alone democratic design, by nation states and chances for democracy beyond the nation state appear rather poor. This may contribute to skepticism about theories according to which norms of social justice apply globally. In this paper I want to show that the problem of democracy, though being real, is not a fatal problem for cosmopolitism. What is more, it is not a significantly smaller problem for particularism.
