Análisis de los servicios innovadores para el turismo de bienestar presentes en el Hotel Sindamanoy en Zapatoca, Santander (Analysis of the Innovate Services for Wellness Tourism Present at the Sindamanoy Hotel In Zapatoca, Santander)

Abstract

Spanish abstract: El turismo de salud y bienestar es uno de los productos turísticos que ha registrado una tendencia creciente en el número de visitantes e ingresos generados en diversos países en los últimos años, entre ellos, Colombia. Una de las cuestiones básicas para el desarrollo de este tipo de turismo es la adecuación de la planta hotelera a los requerimientos de los potenciales turistas. Por ello, en el marco de una investigación sobre la potencialidad que podría llegar a tener la zona metropolitana de Bucaramanga y su área de influencia para la demanda de turismo de salud y bienestar, se analizaron las características de la planta hotelera. De los hoteles analizados, una mención especial reviste el Hotel Sindamanoy, ubicado en el municipio de Zapatoca. En la visita realizada al hotel, se evidenciaron servicios y planes especiales que gracias a su nivel de desarrollo pueden ser considerados servicios con un alto grado de innovación, con un enfoque específico en el turismo de salud y bienestar. En este artículo se recopilan los servicios más innovadores que ofrece el hotel con el fin de captar la creciente demanda de turismo de salud y bienestar en la región. A su vez, se analiza cómo estos servicios podrían llegar a ser elementos diferenciadores e innovadores para esta tipología de turismo a nivel nacional e internacional.

English abstract: Health and wellness tourism is one of the tourism products that registers a growing trend in the number of visitors and income generated in various countries in recent years, including Colombia. One of the basic issues for this kind of tourism is the adaptation of the hotel plant to the requirements of potential tourists. Therefore, within the framework of an investigation on the potential that the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga and its area of influence could have for the demand for health and wellness tourism, the characteristics of the hotel plant were analyzed. Of the hotels analyzed, a special mention goes to the Hotel Sindamanoy located in the town of Zapatoca. During the visit to the hotel, special services and plans were evidenced that, thanks to their level of development, can be considered services with a high level of innovation with a specific focus on health and wellness tourism. In this article, the most innovative services offered by the hotel are compiled in order to capture the growing demand for health and wellness tourism in the region. In turn, it will be analyzed how these services could become a differentiating and innovative elements for this type of tourism at a national and international level.
