Abstract

The WTO is coming under increasing pressure to resolve differences in the current trade talks after the Cancun Ministerial meeting collapsed in September 2003. But if one looks as new free trade agreements abound between countries there is a line of countries trying to join the WTO so it must serve a useful purpose. Also in this day and time how relevant is Pareto Optimality and the Cobb-Web theorem.
