Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate both the existence and nature of a simple but fundamental economic relationship, between economic growth and saving ratio from selected Eastern European Countries. The economic growth is a major issue of economic policy as well as one effective measure of economic welfare. It is also well known that saving ratio is a crucial component of economic growth, according to economic theory. A covariance analysis technique which allows both individual regression and cross section data analysis is used. The results support the existence of a positive common relationship for the sample of the examined countries.
