Abstract

Of the persons seeking admission to the Bar each year, the majority are fresh graduates from the National University of Singapore and institutions of higher learning in England and other Commonwealth jurisdictions. For them, the process of getting called to the Bar will probably be the first time they will have to prepare and file court documents. It is a daunting prospect. This article seeks to smooth the process for these persons by serving as a practical guide to the relevant aspects of civil procedure and practice.
