Abstract

While other countries are depleting their oil reserves, some of the developing countries are working on alternatives to fossil fuels. The U.S. still has the oil off the coast of Florida and California untapped, while the EU sees the oil in the North Sea becoming rapidly depleted. What the developing world will do for a cheap source of energy has yet to be determined. The U.S. could even get oil from Siberia by shipping it across the Bering Straits which is only about 30 miles away from the U.S. coast line.

Keywords: Oil reserves, global energy, fossil fuels
