Abstract

This set of cases (see also the A-J [UVA-E-0191-UVA-E-0200] and L and M cases [UVA-E-0202 and UVA-E-0203]) presents various vignettes, each depicting a specific dilemma about genetic testing and the ethical issues and difficult decisions that this testing presents to patients, doctors, employers, and employees. "A Note on the Human Genome Project" (UVA-E-0204) is a technical note about genetic testing that provides background and information on the issues.
