Abstract

Enterprising individuals have always made bold attempts and with concerted opinion, have trailed down to establish business enterprises. Some times the environment or circumstances have favoured them, but most of the time they have steered their thoughts and manoeuvred through tough times, while establishing a profitable business venture. They have slept well with healthy mind and made good impact on others. They have also learnt well and made good use of available time, while challenging each moment that came their way of in-support. They have been the powerhouse of innovation.

Mr. Gupta, a 1979 graduate in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, took forward his stint in the public enterprise. Very few private enterprises existed during that period. Being the current founder Managing Director of Real Time Automation private ltd, conceived this idea of being an entrepreneur, while he was serving in UPTRON (Uttar Pradesh electronics limited). The organisation has demonstrated the combination of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Definitely the opportunity orientation and its recognition have been the factors to its growth. The company has also been able to demonstrate that barriers to change, whether internal or external, did not deter the firm to be innovative. The innovative practice initiated involved by betting upon the best available technical resources. The gaps to technology upgrading were accomplished through joint partnerships in the sectors where the firm was weak. But even here, they utilised their past experiences with the same company, when the founder manager worked with an earlier company. They have been successful in bridging the gap between the customer and his need by appropriating with the customer orientation. Their success has been attributed to the incremental changes brought in the product modifications to suit the purpose of its customers. Client end services have also aided the firm to be known as, 'working in partnership with the customer in resolving his problems, innovatively'.
