Abstract

This research paper presents a new analytical model to study the evolution of the general development process of China from a new perspective of analysis. This new analytical model is called the Domestic General Development Model (DGD-Model). The DGD-Model is not intended to use a forecasting model in any case. However, its application is not limited to the study of a special group of countries. It is not constrained by issues about the region or countries that are interested in apply DGD-Model.

The Fast economic growth and trade of China is not a purely economic phenomenon but a multidimensional phenomenon. This paper evaluates the prospects of East China (coastal) and West China (inland) from a multidimensional perspective encompassing the political, social, economic and technological dimensions based on the Domestic General Development Model (DGD-Model) application. Our main finding is a wide and growing gap between East China (coastal) and West China (inland) in terms of political, social, economic and technological development as well as overall development.
