Abstract

This is a brief commentary regarding Newdow v. The Congress of the United States of America, which held that California public school policies of classroom recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, with the words under God, violated the Establishment Clause. The commentary begins with a case brief that is followed by a discussion of the opinion.
