Abstract
This is the brief submitted by the Appellant for the case of Rubin vs. Old York DSS, a mock case which forms the basis for discussion in my forthcoming article The Plot Thickens: The Appellate Brief as Story. The article describes the process of writing this brief, and includes excerpts from this document. This document contains the entire brief so the reader of the article can follow the author's thought processes as she constructs her brief using narrative theory. The record of this case is also available on SSRN.
