The Blackstone Journal for Asia-Africa Jurists under the auspices of Aligarh Muslim University Law Faculty celebrates the oldest, modern Law School in Asia established in India in the year 1891, which is 132 years of legal training and research. The Journal further commemorates the exemplary legal scholarship of Sir William Blackstone on English Common Law and the significant contribution of B.R. Ambedkar in the constitutional drafting of the Republic of India, thereby establishing a collaboration with Dr. Ambedkar, Chair of Legal Studies and Research, serving as the nexus in promoting a unique field of applied Jurisprudence under the phenomenological examination and case studies of current dominating legal regimes that govern Asia and Africa's Constitution, Corporate and Commercial Law systems for Economic transactions and advancement. The objective of the Journal is to assist and guide government institutions and industrialists, as well as traders whose entrepreneurial expansion interests are to explore the bilateral business and investment opportunities between Asia and Africa to overcome the legal constraints against their operations and expectations. The Journal's peer-reviewed papers shall be centered on Mercantile Law by extension to Constitutional Case Law evaluations and statute theory development as a holistic perspective of the two continents, which will be published as a law paper series by Elsevier Publishing Company. Incorporating the best scholars in our fellowship within Asia and Africa to support the advisory and editorial board in meeting the quality benchmark standards for legal scholarship and publications.
