The Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Bern invites applications for a position in Finance at the Institute for Financial Management (http://www.ifm.unibe.ch) at the Assistant (tenure-track) or Associate Professor level, as of Summer 2018.

The Institute teaches and conducts research in corporate finance, corporate governance, and empirical asset pricing. While the potential for synergies will be valued, all fields of finance will be considered. Applicants from all areas of finance are encouraged to apply.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarly research and teaching excellence, and have the ability to attract external funds. Teaching is at the Bachelor or Master level and can be in English or in German.

Applicants at the Assistant Professor level must have a doctoral degree in Finance (or be close to completion) or a closely related field and demonstrate research excellence/strong potential, as indicated by refereed publications in top journals or work in progress. For an appointment at the Associate Professor level, an internationally recognized record of research, including publications in top academic journals and an excellent record of teaching are required.
