Professorship(s) with Special Responsibilities in Economics
The Department of Economics invites applications for one or more professorships with special responsibilities in Economics. The professor should contribute to develop research-based teaching at the Department. The positions are available from 1 January or as soon as possible thereafter.
JOB DESCRIPTION: General duties attached to the position as Professor with Special Responsibilities (MSO) in Economics are:
- Research within the academic field of Economics, of the highest international quality
- A considerable effort in fundraising and in managing large research projects in the area of the professorship
- Teaching, supervision and examination of undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD students
- Teaching and development of courses at all levels
- Administrative tasks
- Knowledge sharing with the rest of the society
- Contributing to developing the Department's integration and standing in the international research community
AREA OF RESEARCH: The professorship(s) with special responsibilities is/are in the academic field of Economics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: To be qualified for the position the applicant should have:
- An original academic production at an international level, which documents that the applicant has contributed to developing the academic discipline of economics. The applicant should have the potential to develop the field.
- A strong track-record in the ability to attract external fundraising and managing large externally funded research projects. - A strong track record in research leadership and PhD supervision.
- Strong teaching qualifications and teaching experience.
- The potential to support the department's ambition to strengthen its international standing and outreach through participation and leadership in international networks, association and editorial boards.
- Strong track record in dissemination.
