Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Finance in the College of Business at New Mexico State University, AACSB accredited in both business and accounting, is seeking applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in Finance at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor beginning August 18, 2025. We need a candidate who can also teach banking and financial markets and institutions for one of the positions. Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. in Finance or Business Administration (Finance) from an AACSB-accredited institution. Applicants who have completed all the requirements of their Ph.D. program and are in their dissertation stage, i.e., ABD (All But Dissertation Stage) may also apply and will be considered. ABD applicants should have a completed Ph.D. in Finance or Business Administration (Finance) by July 31, 2025.A successful candidate will demonstrate an effective teaching record and scholarly research. Willingness to teach both online and face-to-face is a must. We welcome applications from candidates in all areas of finance, as well as teach banking, financial markets and institutions. Having a CFA designation (or completed at least one level) is a plus. Responsibilities include research publishable in peer-reviewed academic journals in finance, teaching a diverse study body at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and service to the department, college, and university committees. Responsibilities may also include advising student organizations, performing professional and community service, and identifying and cultivating relationships in the finance and banking industry.
