Job Description & Qualification

The J. M. Tull School of Accounting in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant rank. All research areas within the field of accounting will be considered. However, our primary teaching need is introductory managerial accounting. The position will begin in the fall of 2025 with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025.

Candidates must have a PhD in accounting (degree completed by August 1, 2025) or a PhD in a closely related field with a concentration or emphasis in accounting at the time of appointment. Appointment at the assistant professor rank requires a demonstrated potential to publish rigorous research in premier peer-reviewed journals and demonstrated success in teaching. Assistant applicants requesting service credit, should have a record of publishing in premier journals commensurate with rank and demonstrated excellence in teaching. The ability to teach other classes at the undergraduate and master’s level is a plus.
