Job Description & Qualification
The Department of Finance within the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites applications for a tenure-track Faculty Position in Finance at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Rank and tenure will be based on experience and record of achievement. The position is scheduled to start in August 2025.
We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our current group of finance faculty. It is expected that the individual in this position will foster effective, civil, and respectful working relationships with the Oklahoma State University campus community.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
All areas of finance will be considered. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to add value to the department’s research mission by conducting high-quality research as well as educational programs through excellent teaching. Outstanding candidates may be considered for the Paul C. Wise Chair of Finance. The teaching load can include undergraduate, MSQF (Master of Science in Quantitative Finance), MBA, or Ph.D. level courses. Teaching responsibilities are primarily in Stillwater but may occasionally be at the University’s Tulsa campus.
Candidates must possess an earned doctorate by August 1, 2025. Participation in service activities to the academic and business communities is expected and rewarded. We offer a competitive compensation package and excellent research support, including access to major finance databases and some specialized data sources, a minimum of 20 hours/week of graduate assistant support, and a research active department with a terrific seminar series. A successful candidate will be considered for a 3-course (9-hour) annual teaching load which can be extended based on continued excellent research productivity.
