Brief Summary of Work for this Position: The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track position in Finance at rank of assistant or associate professor. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the life of the department through research, teaching, and service.

Candidates must have demonstrated, or show potential for, a strong research agenda (any area considered) and be capable of excellent/dynamic teaching.
We are seeking a candidate with teaching interest in one or more of the following Real Estate, Derivatives, or Banking. Additionally, this role may be called on to support one of our master’s programs (MBA, IMBA, or MSF) at some point.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: PhD in Finance, Real Estate, or related field. Applicants must have confirmation of earned doctorate in Finance, Real Estate, or related field by August 1, 2025, prior to the start of appointment.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Preference given to ability to teach real estate CFA charter or progress towards this certification is a plus.
