Job Description & Qualification

The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for multiple full-time positions with the Department of Accounting, at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor (with or without experience) or tenured associate professor, to begin in academic year 2025-2026. Successful applicants must have strong research and teaching capabilities. A Ph.D. degree should either be completed or very near completion with the expectation of completion by the time of the appointment. Applicants with experimental, financial-archival/field, or managerial-archival/field research interests are especially encouraged to apply.

About the Organization

Our faculty is comprised of scholars with a diverse set of backgrounds and interests. Successful applicants will be expected to establish an internationally recognized research program at the University of Texas at Austin, mentor graduate students, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The predominant mode of instruction and research is in-person, such that faculty appointed for employment shall reside in the proximate area of the work site for the duration of their appointment and be able to maintain a daily in-person schedule at the assigned work site.
