Associate Dean for Legal Information Services
Job Description & Qualification
The University of Alabama School of Law seeks qualified applicants for the position of Associate Dean for Legal Information Services. The successful candidate will direct all operations of the Bounds Law Library, oversee all library functions and staff, and hold a faculty appointment to match qualifications. The successful candidate will also teach legal research courses, with the possibility of teaching additional substantive doctrinal courses. As an important member of law school leadership, the Associate Dean of Legal Information Services directs the Bounds Law Library, serves as the key contact with other libraries at the University of Alabama, helps to facilitate the intersection of technology and faculty and student professional needs, and provides input and guidance on physical space requirements and potential reconfiguration of the Law Library.
This is a year-round (12-month) position. Appointment will be made either with tenure, on the tenure track, or with a renewable contract for a period of at least three years.
