The Bert W. Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance is seeking applicants for tenure track Assistant Professor position in Economics starting Fall 2025, subject to final budget approval.
The successful candidate will engage in high-quality scholarly research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics, mentor students (undergraduate, master's, Ph.D.), and share responsibility for committee and department assignments.
Located in the historic Gramercy Park/Flatiron district of Manhattan, Baruch College serves a diverse student population that speaks more than 110 languages. Baruch is consistently ranked among the top public schools in the northeast and among the top “Best Bang for the Buck” colleges.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range from all sources of funding is $135,000-$150,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience.

We also provide mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality scholarly research, ability to teach successfully and to cooperate with colleagues for the good of the institution. Preference will be given to candidates specialized in applied and theoretical econometrics.
