Job Description & Qualification

Job Summary:
The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring up to two Assistant Professors and one Associate Professor of Finance for Fall 2025.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
Job duties include research, teaching, and service to the university and profession.

What We Require:
The preferred candidate for the Assistant Professor position must hold a PhD, or be near the completion of their PhD degree, in finance, economics, real estate, or a closely related field; and have demonstrated superior accomplishments including scholarly research, teaching ability, promise of future contributions, and effective interaction with faculty colleagues, students and external constituents.

Note to Assistant Professor candidates: Candidates who have not yet conferred their degree will be appointed as an Instructor until the semester following the degree conferral.


The preferred candidate for the Associate Professor must hold a PhD or equivalent in finance, economics, real estate, or a closely related field; and have demonstrated superior accomplishments including scholarly research, teaching ability, promise of future contributions, and effective interaction with faculty colleagues, students, and external constituents. The successful applicant would already have a minimum of three years in the Assistant Professor rank or equivalent, and have accumulated a record to warrant receiving tenure at Leeds.

Additional Information

What We Can Offer:
Pending funding approval, the salary range for the Assistant Professor position is $247,000-$270,000, and for the Associate Professor position, it is 263,000 - $293,000. Relocation support is available, as well as an initial computer allowance.
