Tenure Track Appointment in Finance
Job Description & Qualification
Trent University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Finance in the School of Business at the rank of Assistant Professor to start July 1, 2025. This position is located at Trent’s Peterborough Campus and is subject to budgetary approval.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or be close to completion by the date of appointment) in Finance or cognate discipline. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and potential for excellence in research, teaching and service commensurate with the Assistant Professor rank. Responsibilities will include contributing to curriculum development and course delivery in the School of Business and developing and expanding a high quality externally funded research program, including grants from Canada’s federal funding agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop new courses in their area of area of focus. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses from among: Financial Management, Investments, Derivatives, and Financial Markets & Institutions.
