Job Description & Qualification
Trent University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in accounting in the School of Business at the rank of Assistant Professor to start July 1, 2025. The School of Business is seeking an outstanding early career scholar with expertise in accounting. This position is located at Trent’s Durham Campus and is subject to budgetary approval.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or be close to completion by the date of appointment) in accounting, and a CPA (or equivalent) designation is an asset. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and potential for excellence in research, teaching and service commensurate with the Assistant Professor rank. Responsibilities will include contributing to curriculum development and course delivery in the School of Business and developing and expanding a high quality externally funded research program, including grants from Canada’s federal funding agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop new courses in their area of focus.
