Clinical Assistant Professor of Management in Accounting

Job Description & Qualification

The Accounting Area in the Mitch Daniels School of Business, Purdue University, invites candidates to apply for a full-time clinical assistant professor position. The ability to teach large section accounting classes is important. In addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, the new hire would be expected to engage in leadership activities, such as course development, and advising students. The chosen candidate will also contribute more broadly in some or all of the three ways:

1) Provide services that assist in the administration, operation, and development of the Accounting Area, Daniels School of Business, Purdue, and their profession

2) Engage in activities that help develop and manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

3) Produce teaching-oriented scholarly work, such as publishing textbooks or in educational journals, that promotes the academic reputation of the Accounting Area, Daniels School of Business, and Purdue.

The appointment is expected to begin July 1, 2025.

Job Qualification

Candidates must have a PhD in Accounting or a related field at the time of application. Candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates must have previous experience in course development. The ideal candidate would have worked a minimum of three years as a full-time instructor or faculty at a university or college that awarded degrees in accounting.
